Hopeful Hands
We were asked to develop the brand identity for Hopeful Hands, a not-for-profit social enterprise based in Erbil, Iraqi-Kurdistan, who employ refugee and internally displaced women in order to help them earn a living for themselves and their families. Their brief asked us to develop a brand identity that communicates their “hand-made” ethos without explicitly using any imagery pertaining to hands, a symbol that we both agreed is overused. As a result, we developed their logo, incorporated both English and Arabic into their font to communicate to the local and expat markets, their social media profile and cover pictures and an overall brand identity pack that demonstrated how their brand looks across a variety of formats.
